Los: dumplings are the source input chino very popular all over the world. They have different presentations, fillings and traditional ways of preparing them, but in the end they are all delicious.
Many of us have had doubts about the preparation of these appetizers of ancient Chinese gastronomy. Its origin was attributed to Canton, in the south, very close to Hong Kong; but now they are famous in the big cities of the world from London, NY: and of course Mexico.
There are many varieties dumplings depending on filling ingredients, dough flour, how they are folded and other cooking processes. They are eaten as snacks, usually accompanied by tea and never eaten at night. They have the same meaning as Spanish tapas: “bite that touches the heart”.
Flour is generally made from wheat, rice, tapioca or potato starch, and the most traditional filling is pork or vegetable.

gyoza
They are also known as “jiaozi” or “mandu”. It is made from wheat flour with a thin dough. They are regularly stuffed with pork or vegetables by hand in the form of an empanada. Usually, its cooking starts with steaming and then it is passed through oil.
Xiao Long Bao

They are dumplings made into balls. Also known as: “soup dumplings”. Steamed buns are served in bamboo baskets. It is a small dough bag containing pork, shrimp or crab meat and broth. It is eaten by taking it with chopsticks, you bite it so that the broth is poured on the plate and then you take it with a spoon. They are traditional from Shanghai.
wonton

It’s very popular in Mexico, it’s regularly eaten in soups and stir-fried as an appetizer, it’s regularly topped with shrimp or chicken, and it almost always comes in a broth.
Siu Mai

It looks like a wonton, but the folded shape reveals the filling. It is made from steamed wheat dough and stuffed with shrimp and pork. The upper part remains open and is regularly filled with fish roe or grated vegetables. They are eaten in one bite.
Cheng Fan

They are rolls made of ultra-thin rice dough filled with shrimp, pork or vegetables. They are served with lots of soy sauce for dipping.
Has Gow

They are made with tapioca flour, with a super thin and elastic dough. Its fold is more or less like an empanada but you can see the filling which makes it more appetizing.
Baozi

It’s the only one dumpling to which yeast is added, the dough becomes much thicker and lush. It ends up as a roll filled with savory or sweet ingredients. It can be an appetizer or even a dessert.
